Oxton Pet Sitting is owned by me, Dannielle Golding. After spending 10 years working for the NHS I had always wanted to fulfil a lifelong ambition to work with animals and run my own business.

From an early age I have always had pets. I had my first rabbit ‘Linda’ when I was only 5 and the current additions to our family are two crazy rescue cats (Harry and Hessie) and a beautiful Spaniel Westie Cross dog called ‘Beth’.

My cats absolutely hate going to the cattery and hide when they see the box coming out and it was clear this was a very stressful experience for them. I thought long and hard about the kind of care I would love them to have and this became the basis for me setting up ‘Oxton Pet Sitting and Dog Walking service’.

During my research I discovered that one in five homes has a cat and one in four homes has a dog with the pet owning population increasing by 60% in the last 20 years. So clearly a lot of pets need looking after and many pet owners (49%) consider them to be part of the family. This makes the decision as to who looks after their pet when you are away as difficult as choosing a child-minder.

A simple choice to make

At Oxton Pet sitting we want to make that decision very easy. If you are thinking of using a pet sitting service in Wirral we can come round for a cup of tea and get to know you and your pet, its likes and dislikes, favourite food, any medical issues and anything you want to tell us really. We'll then be able to understand your pet's needs and by then you will feel very comfortable about the person who will look after him or her.
